BSNL fulfilled a key ambition in 1998. The Society purchased a property situated at 128 East Lane, North Wembley from Brent Council. A stone’s throw away and in the shadows of the world famous Wembley Stadium. Located 500 meters away from North Wembley tube station and the local bus stop, this purchase was made under the leadership of Mr. Kamlesh Rajyaguru and the building project chairman Mr. Navalshankar Vyas. The officer bearers at the time – Mr. Divyang Purohit, Mr. Vijay Metha, Mr. Rajiv Vyas, Mr. Harish Pandya and Mr. Jayprakash Bhatt were also the backbone to this foundation. The ‘Samaj’ would not be here without the members and their support.
The property has been renovated and is currently used for various activities for BSNL Members. There is parking for approximately 25 cars on site.
Credit must be given to all the members who have contributed to establishing the BSNL house to its current excellent state.
There is a private infant’s nursery which hires the ground floor for around 40 weeks during the year.
Car parking at BSNL Community Centre on event days
The borough of Brent allows off street car parking on marked bays during hours other than when restricted. Further restrictions apply on event days. Please visit the Brent Borough website for full details on occasions that are held at the BSNL building for members.
