The BSNL Ladies Social Club (part of Abhilasa) was inaugurated in November 2018. The overseeing Trustee was Mrs Anjana Thaker.
This was conceived for Ladies only and the concept was for ladies under the age of 65 who were at home on Fridays and wanted to network with similar ladies over cups of coffee or tea. The gathering was very popular and events such as games, singing, cookery demos, fashion, etc., was introduced with light lunch provided. The club has grown from strength to strength. Reins of the club were handed over to Vandana Joshi in 2020.
Events organised in 2020 at the hall were Valentine Day, Mahashivratri, and International Women’s Day.The Club was suspended during Covid pandemic and subject to interest and demand will commence in the near future.
